Climb Mount Kilimanjaro – Rongai Route

A quieter, more gradual route from the northern side of the mountain - offering a unique perspective and a less crowded path to the summit.
The Rongai Route is the only trail that approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the northern side, near the Kenyan border, offering a quieter and more remote trekking experience compared to the busier southern routes.
Known for its gradual ascent and relatively gentle gradients, the Rongai Route is a great option for those looking for a less crowded climb while still experiencing the incredible journey to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. The route passes through a variety of landscapes - from forest and moorland to alpine desert - with expansive views across the plains of Kenya along the way.
While considered one of the easier routes in terms of terrain, the shorter itinerary means acclimatisation must still be taken seriously. The route joins the Marangu Route for the final ascent and descent, combining a peaceful approach with a classic summit experience
